Meet Vanessa

Hi, I’m Vanessa. I run Museumist, a travel blog for people who’d rather get lost in a backstreet museum or a tiny family run restaurant than tick off a bus tour checklist.

I started it because most travel content felt interchangeable. The same ten landmarks, the same staged photos, the same hidden gem with a two hour queue. I wanted to write the honest version. The places I would actually send a friend to.

I travel slowly and write it down properly: the food, the small museums, the neighbourhoods locals actually hang out in, the stays worth booking and the detours worth taking. No fluff, no copy pasted press releases. Just real stories from places I have been.

Why it might be worth having me over

Museumist is growing fast, with 5,000+ unique readers and 50,000+ Google impressions and a loyal audience across Estonia and the Nordics. My readers are the travellers who plan real trips and book real stays. The kind of people who read a story and then actually go.

Honest stories

I only write about places I have truly been, in a voice people trust and come back for.

Three languages, one story

I publish in Estonian, English and Finnish, so a single feature reaches readers in three markets at once.

A Nordic audience that books

My readers are Estonian and Nordic travellers who turn inspiration into real trips and real bookings.

If you run a hotel, a museum or an experience and you want an honest, well told story that makes people want to show up, invite me. I will come, I will pay attention, and I will write something they remember.
