Hossegor outlets at ten on a Saturday morning are the fastest way to understand why this town is called the surf-industry capital of Europe. The Pédebert business park on the road to Seignosse is a pine forest with Rip Curl, Quiksilver and Billabong signs between the trees, and the Hossegor outlets fill the car park before the doors open. I live in Biarritz, 45 minutes south, and drive up regularly. My opinion: if you surf, snowboard or just wear these brands, Pédebert is one of the few places in Europe where an outlet price is really an outlet price.
Here are the 13 real outlets at Pédebert in October 2026. The key date first: Summer Destock runs 17 to 25 October 2026, nine days when about forty shops clear their summer stock. And one correction: the famous Easter braderie, which drew up to 150,000 people from 1987, ended for good in 2021, yet several 2026 blogs still advertise it. Hours are as published on 7 October 2026; check before you go.
1. Outlet Quiksilver, with Roxy inside
211 avenue des Charpentiers, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 19:00, all year. Previous Quiksilver and Roxy collections; there is no separate Roxy outlet. I have bought Roxy clothes here and the prices were proper, not a brand store’s ten-percent sale rail. Sunday is where sources disagree: the tourism office says closed, one directory shows open in season, so come on Saturday.

2. Billabong Outlet Store
128 avenue des Charpentiers, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 19:00, Sundays only in July and August. Factory shop with clothing and gear for surf, skate, ski and snowboard, plus RVCA and Element. I have shopped here and for me it is the surest place at Pédebert for decent clothes at a sane price.
3. Hossegor Outlet: Element, DC and RVCA under one roof
199 avenue des Tisserands, daily 10:00 to 19:00, July and August to 20:00. The Boardriders multi-brand outlet: Roxy, Quiksilver, DC Shoes, Element, RVCA and Billabong, plus hardware the others lack: leashes, pads, bags, booties, skateboards, bodyboards. Up to 50 percent off all year, kids’ sizes too. Element is the brand I come for, and I have bought. If you have time for one shop, make it this one: open Sundays, when Quiksilver and Billabong are shut.
4. Rip Curl Outlet under the headquarters
407 avenue de la Tuilerie, daily 10:00 to 19:00, all year. Ground floor of Rip Curl Europe’s headquarters, the heart of Hossegor’s surf industry since the 1980s. Wetsuits, tees and clothing for men, women and kids, previous collections at roughly 30 to 40 percent off. Try wetsuits on here rather than ordering online: sizing differs between brands and returns are expensive.
5. Oxbow Outlet Soorts
92 avenue des Rémouleurs, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 19:00, closed Sunday. One directory shows a weekday lunch break 13:00 to 15:00. Oxbow is a French surf brand from 1985 and the outlet also carries its 1985 line. Smaller than the Boardriders shops, but a French brand selling off its own previous season.
6. Burton Snowboards Outlet
251 avenue des Menuisiers, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 19:00, closed Sunday. Previous-season boards, boots, bindings, outerwear, goggles and bags, plus Analog and Anon. A snowboard outlet in a pine forest by the Atlantic looks odd, but the Pyrenees are close. I have bought snowboard gear here and the price gap is worth the drive.

7. Globe Outlet Store and SB3 Outlet
Globe: 38 avenue des Rémouleurs. SB3: 213 avenue de la Tuilerie. Both daily 10:00 to 19:00, all year. Globe promises factory prices all year and claims the largest skate-shoe wall in Hossegor. SB3 is a French surf and skate brand. Neither is big, but both open on Sunday.
8. Carhartt WIP Outlet Hossegor
416 avenue des Artisans, Monday to Saturday 10:30 to 19:00; July and August to 19:30 and Sunday 11:00 to 19:00. Off-season Sundays: sources conflict, so check. The only real streetwear outlet at Pédebert. Workwear and streetwear for men, women and kids; I have shopped here and the gap to full price is noticeable.
9. Skill Destockage and Banana Moon Factory Store
Skill Destockage: 73 avenue des Charpentiers, daily 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 19:00, Sundays included. Clearance shop of the Skill shoe store in the centre: Adidas, New Balance, Converse, Nike, Palladium, the only discounted big sports brands at Pédebert. Banana Moon Factory Store: 174 avenue des Rémouleurs, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 19:30, Sunday not published. Women’s and girls’ swimwear at 30 to 70 percent off all year.
10. Olo Surfshop Destock and Vissla Outlet Store
Olo Surfshop Destock: 60 avenue des Rémouleurs, hours not published, check before you go. Clearance shop of the Olo Surf Shop in the centre: Protest, Oakley, O’Neill, Vans, Etnies, the place for discounted Vans and O’Neill, which have no outlet of their own here. Vissla Outlet Store: 39 rue des Sabotiers, Monday to Saturday with a 13:00 to 15:00 lunch break (from 9:00 Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 otherwise), closed Sunday. Men’s surfwear, boardshorts and Italian-made sunglasses.
Tours and experiences in Hossegor
To get the outlet wetsuit wet the same day, Hossegor has surf lessons.
Hossegor outlets: if thirteen are not enough
- Alltroc, the largest second-hand surf shop in Europe. 34 avenue des Charpentiers, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 19:00. About 800 second-hand boards on 400 square metres, plus wetsuits; foam board rental from 12 euros. For a first board, start here. Tourism office listing.
- Brand stores that are not outlets. Hurley, Picture Store (136 avenue des Rémouleurs), Deus Ex Machina with its café (110 avenue de Pascouaou, discounts only in the Archives corner), Wasted Talent Boutique & Café (202 avenue des Menuisiers), Pull-In, Southwest, K-Way, Sun Valley and Ho-Zone. I have shopped at Wasted Talent, a good shop, but full price.
- Hossegor centre and Capbreton. Full-price Rip Curl, Quiksilver, Roxy, Oxbow, Volcom and Vans are in the centre; the Boardriders multi-brand store is in Capbreton (36 boulevard du Docteur Junqua).
Boardriders, Rip Curl and Beaumanoir: who owns Pédebert
François Payot and Fred Basse created the Rip Curl Europe licence in 1982 and 1983, and in the 1990s the Rip Curl braderie pulled the rest of the surf trade into Pédebert. Billabong arrived in 1992; Boardriders moved it to Saint-Jean-de-Luz in 2019. Boardriders (Quiksilver, Roxy, Billabong, DC, Element, RVCA) was sold to Authentic Brands Group in September 2023, and on 5 June 2024 the Breton group Beaumanoir took over Boardriders Europe with a 15-year licence for Western Europe: 164 head-office jobs went, the shops stayed. The North American licensee Liberated Brands went bankrupt in February 2025; Europe was untouched. Rip Curl’s owner KMD Brands announced 21 group-wide store closures in September 2025; nothing about Hossegor, and Rip Curl Europe still runs from Pédebert.

Practical
- Summer Destock 2026: 17 to 25 October. In 2025 doors opened at 9:00; come early, surf hardware goes first. Winter Destock ran 2 to 11 April 2026; new dates appear on the park’s site.
- Soldes: France’s official sales apply in outlets too: winter 6 January to 2 February 2027; summer 2026 was 24 June to 28 July.
- By car: 45 minutes from Biarritz, A63 exit Saint-Geours-de-Maremne or Bénesse-Maremne, then the D652 towards Seignosse. Free parking in front of the shops. You genuinely need a car here.
- Free bus: the Yégo network is free. Line 1B stops at “Soorts Pédebert Sud” and “Soorts Pédebert Nord”; Monday to Saturday, daily in summer. From Bayonne, coach 517.
- Winter and time: all 13 outlets are listed as open all year; typical off-season rhythm 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 19:00. Allow half a day.

Pédebert is half a day; Hossegor is a weekend. The town itself is in my Hossegor travel guide, and after the shops head for the oyster huts on the lake: Hossegor oysters. Flying in? Combine it with Biarritz and San Sebastián on my 7-day Basque Country road trip.

Hossegor outlets: what I would pick
Saturday, not Sunday, because on Saturday all 13 are open. At 10:00 I would start on avenue des Charpentiers: Quiksilver and Billabong side by side, then Hossegor Outlet for Element and hardware, lunch in the park, Rip Curl for wetsuits, Burton if winter is coming, Carhartt at the far end to finish. During Summer Destock, first morning, early: the technical gear is gone before lunch.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Pédebert Easter braderie on in 2027?
No. The merchants’ association ended it for good in February 2021 (Covid, security costs, logistics). Winter Destock in April and Summer Destock in October replace it.
Are the Hossegor outlets open on Sunday?
Rip Curl, Hossegor Outlet, Globe, SB3 and Skill every Sunday; Billabong and Carhartt in July and August only; Quiksilver, Oxbow, Burton and Vissla closed.
How much cheaper are the outlets?
The shops promise 30 to 50 percent off previous collections, Banana Moon up to 70. No published comparison with online prices exists; the outlet advantage is trying things on and hardware that is expensive to ship.
Can I get tax-free shopping at Pédebert?
Only if you live outside the EU: minimum 100.01 euros in one shop on one day, goods exported within three months, refund about 12 percent after commission. Participation per shop is not published.
Information checked on 7 October 2026. Opening hours and prices change with the season; check before you go.
